We are headed back to Ohio as you read this.  We have a contract on our house there and need to empty out our belongings.  It will be nice to close this chapter in our lives.  Being in 2 houses 11 hours apart has been very rough on our whole family.

These two cards are from the new stamps being released today at Unity.  I love doing folded cards but they are hard to photograph.  I hope I do it justice.

Since you have made it this far don’t forget to leave a comment for me and then go visit Jeanne.  She always has something wonderful to see.   Maybe a little sompin sompin this week too!  Have a great day!http://inkypaws.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

I have had such a crazy busy week I for got I was asked to participate in this.  Better late than never!  Everthing you see below is compliments of Paper Crafts and a Contributer to their Gourmet Issue.   I am not in this one.  I am frequently published in other issues and I am sure this one is great! http://community.creatingkeepsakes.com/store/products/paper_crafts_gourmet

Here’s the recipe text:

Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits

Alisa Bangerter

This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.

INGREDIENTS

2 c. flour

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

4 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. salt

2/3 c. butter or margarine

1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

1 1/4 c. milk

Chives (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.

And the supplies and instructions for the project:

I love to personalize gift I give.  I hope the recipients reuse the packaging.  It would make me really happy to know my effort were thought enough of to be given again.  This is a little tan/craft paper colored box that I embellished with white craft ink and Sakura red glitter glaze.

This card was made as Part of the CPS – Card Positioning sketch site challenge.  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/  For the actual sketch and more information.  It is a great site for those times when yo need a little eye candy to get you going or a sketch to make  it work.  I was not well over the weekend so I did not make it to the PO.  Everthing is going out today.

This is my not so hot interpretation of Amber Sketch that was posted on Monday.  This is the reason I do not do sketch challenges.  My cards come off looking bizarre.  I had fun trying though so I thought I would make the sentiment similar to the type of day I had yesterday.  Happy happy happy happy.

Now it is time to mix it up a little and go visit Christi’s blog.  She always does beautiful work. http://www.alteredambitions.blogspot.com/  Enjoy!

Just a little?  A wine connoisseur   I am not.  I like to give wine as a gift.  I find it to be a nice hostess gift and a great birthday/wedding/anniversary/ Christmas present.  It is something that almost every one likes and can appreciate when they get a really nice bottle.  It is also consumable and gets put to use.   I do not drink all that often. But I do like a nice Pinot Grigio now and then.  My favorite is an Italian Pinot Grigio.  This particular company has many whites that I really like but my all time favorite would be Santa Margarita Pinto Grigio.  The have a few other whites that are delicious too.  I am not a big red drinker.  Just in case you were wondering.  LOL   I made this gift bag to have in my stash for a quick  last minute grab.   *** thanks Carla for catching my ** INDUGLE** post title.  You would think I had a bottle all to myself!

Gift Card Holders October 21, 2008

Another gift card holder.  They make giving a piece of plastic more than just giving a piece of plastic.  Most of my holiday gifts have been thoughtfully chosen.  But teenagers like to pick their own things.  So I usually give them gift cards to their favorite eateries or to the movie theatre.  It goes over very well.  I am not handing them cash like my family did when I was growing up yet they still get the satisfaction of knowing a little thought went into their gift.  They do not need to worry about it being the wrong size or so last season.  Plus I like to think it shows I care enough not to just toss some cash their way.

My son picks up his school pictures today.  I cannot wait to see them.

I try to incorporate as many possible items into my crafting that are recycled.  This gift card holder has a puzzle piece that I covered with a scrap and stamped on.  My son lost a piece to the puzzle and donated it to my “to be crafted with” stash.  It might only be a small part of the project.  But it is getting another use.

I think I will make some other cards with the rest of the pieces and call it a gift set.

Later this week I will start promts to help get you ready for christmas.  Me I pretty much am.  Shopping is finished.  Wrapping will be done by Thanksgiving and the backing is right on track.

Let me just say O”HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I took a class today and it was wonderful.  It was a technique class and we did not come home with a finished project.  I had so much fun playing.  I actually showered and put on non-stained clothes to go play with paper clay.  Next week when I attend a class again I will shower but revert back to my crafting clothes.  Hey when you stay at home and cook, clean and create why bother taking a shower or gettig out of your pjs?  No one is seeing me or close enough to smell me.  NOT that I stink.  My deodorant is strong enough for a man but made for a woman.  Enough yammering.  Hopefully I will be able to finish my little project over the weekend.  I made this last weekend.
