Not much to say. TGIF!!!!!
A layout? February 25, 2009
Yes, I did a layout. It is from a photo shoot a few years ago. I have used the photo for my album already. This layout will go in one of the grandparent books. I do not scrap in order or by season or even event. I scrap when I have the urge (or the nudge – thanks KERI!) Most of the time I am waiting for the right paper/photo combination. It is fun seeing how the same phot looks on different paper.
Head start February 23, 2009
Believe it or not I have started on our Easter prep. Ha ha ha, Just kidding. Maxx and I were making thumb print animals and I came up with this corny saying. It will be the perfect card for one of the grandparents.
Shhhhh, I have a secret February 20, 2009
I **** LOVE**** Christmas Kitsch. I really do. The tackier the better. Maybe it takes me back to my childhood. Not that it was considered tacky then. But I have always had a little flair for the tackier side of things. My mother tries to blame it on my grandmother (my dad’s mom) but I am not so sure. She has been known to have her share of tacky outfits. Well, to be perfectly honest more than her share. LOL
It seems like I work on Christmas projects year round. With magazine work it is generally 6 months out. Many times more, especially for Christmas. I have come to not mind it so much. I had a lot of fun with this one. I want to call him Fred. Fred the snowman. Naming pieces is not common practice – he just look like he needed a name.
The crystals are Prima. His mouth is a remnant of a much larger one that did not fit on a card. I save all the good scraps. You never know when you will need a tiny random piece. Again, the SMOOCH came out. The dots on the felt party hat and his cheeks dried very quickly. I did heat set the clay snowflakes.
Renewed passion February 19, 2009

Jewelry and beads have been a part of my creativeness for as long as I can remember. I have always been crafty. I don’t know if it started with macaroni noodle bead necklaces or the hemp frienship bracelets we made for hours on end in summer camp. But where is started is not as important as the fact that it always makes me happy and happiness is important.
I have had quite a few requests lately for my jewelry pieces. Fashion trends change and this keeps me on my toes. I love recycling junking and old things in general. I think it is cool that recycling is fasionable now. This piece uses and electric copper coupling as the focal piece for the beads. Turning uncommon goods into beautiful pieces is somthing else I like to do. I think it runs in my family. Maybe I will share little bits about how they have inspired me and what they have taught me in little bits. Sharing personal stuff is not something I do much.
Smooch smooch smooch at last!!! February 15, 2009
Finally had some time to sit and create and I am pleased with the results. The Smooch that was released from Clearsnap is fantastic. The colors are vibrant and easy to apply. The background color of the bracelet is not one of the 8 that was released at the show. I blended my own. It was very easy to too and personally I think the color turned out great. I also used the Design Adhesives to apply the pattern. Love it when I am happy with a project.

CHA Video February 13, 2009
A very talented Jenn Mason put this video together after CHA. Can you spot me?
Thank you! February 12, 2009
While at CHA I participated in the Green Gallery Make and Takes. I had very generous support from the manufactures attending the show. I would love to show you the actual project. But the camera did not make it to the show with me. If you are not familiar with these manufactures please check out their websites. They have great products.

Who am I kidding??? February 8, 2009
It has been a little over a week since my return from the CHA Winter show. I posted that I would create some things with the new products I finally had in my hands. I should know better than to say I am doing a darn thing for at least a week. I have slept about 20 hours a day from complete exhaustion. I am almost back up to speed. This week I WILL get a few things made. The weather here today was in the mid 70’s. Perfectly wonderful for a day at the beach.
So for now you are stuck with a not so lovely picture of my toes. Feet are not an attractive thing.
New Ink Colors February 2, 2009
Thought I would put up a card showing the new ink colors Clearsnap released at CHA . I especially like the Pumpkin Spice. The middle color is a yellow. It did not photograph well but looks wonderful in real life. I love ink. I really do. Hopefully today I will get some time to create a little and put up a sample of the SMOOCH. I have been busy unpacking and cleaning.
