I love to make gifts for family and friends. One item that goes over nicely at Christmas time is cookie mixes in a jar. I will take a few hours one day to make up a huge batch of them. Once the jars are filled I decorate the out side of them to suit my mood. On this one in particular I used a stamped image that I colored last year for my Christmas cards. I had a few left. I also used a tag that I made last year from a die cut and old dictionary pages. I like to recycle paper whenever I can and the dictionary that I tore up has been used on a few dozen projects now. The vintage paper makes a great background for almost any project. The circle on the was a piece of left over scrap paper that I had stamped at some point in time. I really like using up all the bits and pieces that I have accumulated over the year.
Color Combos November 4, 2008
I have created so many things with this color combination. Aqua, red and Brown. You would think it would be getting old by now yet each time I use it I think I like it even more. It is so versatile. What are your favorites?
I recycled a fabric scrap into this card instead of using ribbon.
Koh i Noor Pencils and a Dove blender Pen are my favorites too. Maybe I am a little old skool but that is okay. Nothing wrong with having a few favorites.

THere will be more to follow…….
Over the weekend I am guessing I will hit 10,000 views. Something I never even considered when I stuck the counter up on my blog. I am not even sure when I added it. But in honor of what I think is a huge number I am going to be doing a give away. It will be a bunch of my favorite things. I will post a full list on Friday.
Now for more inpiration. I kept all of my cards simple this morning. I made these from 8-10:30. For me that is a record. Even when they are this simple. I am not a quick creative type and I admire those who are. Slow and steady wins the race right???
Now for some really cool stuff done with wax visit http://www.pppaperprincess.blogspot.com/. Makes me want to get my melting pot out today. Hmmmm Maybe?
So proud! September 9, 2008
I finally did it. I have wanted to try my hand at soldering for so long now. I do not know what I was waiting on. It is not has hard as it looks. Then again I had a great teacher. Lisa from Simply Swank, was so patient with my million questions. I know I stopped her a 1001 times and asked her to repeat herself. She has more patients than a kindergarten teacher! The website is http://www.simplyswank.net/. My first piece is just that. My first piece. I am proud of it so I want to show it off. I know I will be doing more of this. One more medium to add to my repetoir. Off to make some more. Now if I had a never ending supply of glass slides. I also cannot find my ornament holder, so I am really not trying to give you all the finger.
