I love to make gifts for family and friends. One item that goes over nicely at Christmas time is cookie mixes in a jar. I will take a few hours one day to make up a huge batch of them. Once the jars are filled I decorate the out side of them to suit my mood. On this one in particular I used a stamped image that I colored last year for my Christmas cards. I had a few left. I also used a tag that I made last year from a die cut and old dictionary pages. I like to recycle paper whenever I can and the dictionary that I tore up has been used on a few dozen projects now. The vintage paper makes a great background for almost any project. The circle on the was a piece of left over scrap paper that I had stamped at some point in time. I really like using up all the bits and pieces that I have accumulated over the year.
Its raining,sort of… December 10, 2008
As logic would have it today I was going to spray paint 3 projects. To bad I could not get to them yesterday when it was 60 and sunny. It is still 60 and no sun in sight. Oh, well another day. I will simply shift projects around.
My cards is snowing. This card does not show up well at all. It is a navy cardstock and it did not photograph very well. This is another image from Odd Bird Planet Stamps. Man are they cute!!! Some of you might also know them as Just Johanna. Either way I like their stuff.
Lost a few days December 4, 2008
Sometimes I get burried in my work and I forget that I am supposed to come up for air. I lost a few days over the weekend with the inlaws in town and Maxx home from school. I have been working in CS4 using Illustrator creating marketing material for CHA. Unfortunately I cannot show anything until after the show in January.
This Cute little GNOME is from Odd Bird Planet. He came to me in an image swap. I think I might just have to order him. I have always thought gnomes were adorable. I like Smurfs too. I will post a few more images from the swap later.
The inside says “Tis the Season”
upcycle, recycle, repurpose ? November 21, 2008
They are all basically the same things.
Repurpose- give new life.
Recycle - get another use out of
Upcycle- newest cycber term for giving something a new life.
Call it what ever you want. But I am glad it is finally fashionable. I have been doing this forever. I have always found it to be a fun challenge. A test to my creative ablity.
This was a pink teddybear ballarina frame with a broken mirror in the top. I thought since we move oceanside it might be nice to have a tiny bit of the decor. THis is going in the mudroom.
I was going for the Beach Chic or Beach Casual look. The push pins are sand dollars.
Color Combos November 4, 2008
I have created so many things with this color combination. Aqua, red and Brown. You would think it would be getting old by now yet each time I use it I think I like it even more. It is so versatile. What are your favorites?
I recycled a fabric scrap into this card instead of using ribbon.
Koh i Noor Pencils and a Dove blender Pen are my favorites too. Maybe I am a little old skool but that is okay. Nothing wrong with having a few favorites.

THere will be more to follow…….
Over the weekend I am guessing I will hit 10,000 views. Something I never even considered when I stuck the counter up on my blog. I am not even sure when I added it. But in honor of what I think is a huge number I am going to be doing a give away. It will be a bunch of my favorite things. I will post a full list on Friday.
Now for more inpiration. I kept all of my cards simple this morning. I made these from 8-10:30. For me that is a record. Even when they are this simple. I am not a quick creative type and I admire those who are. Slow and steady wins the race right???
Now for some really cool stuff done with wax visit http://www.pppaperprincess.blogspot.com/. Makes me want to get my melting pot out today. Hmmmm Maybe?
I love Thursdays October 2, 2008
I really do. I get blog visitor. My house is clean- Well I always do my laundry on Thurs. THat makes me feel accomplished. The band plays at the park by our house. We do not even have to leave our yard. AND only one day until FRIDAY. The official start of the weekend. Oh and it is HIP HOP. It has become a very fun part of my routine. Once you check out my stuff go visit the next person Jennifer at http://www.thebuckstampshere.blogspot.com/ I love the play on her last name. Her header is awesome. I do not think my last name would be an inspiring header. MEINERS?
Most of the stamps I used are from the October Kit. It has a nice variety of goodies in it. Tuesday I was the featured DT Member on the Unity Blog. I have things posted there that are not on here.
I really wish I had more time to make things to show you.
Inchies, Inchies, Inchies September 25, 2008
And more good inchies. I have a new addiction. I must confess. They are called inchies. If you look below at the images you will notice they are all kept inside one inch squares. Mini pieces of work. So quick and so fun.

Now that you have made it to the bottom and checked out all of the inchies tell me what you think? Are you going to gie it a try? Really they are fun and really quick. I hope you have enjoyed looking at them as much as I did making them. Now for some more viewing pleasure please stop by Cyndi’s blog. It is her last Hip Hop with us this month as Guest DT member. It was a joy seeing her work. www.scrappychick.typepad.com
Now for a Christmas card. This is one I am considering for the Christmas cards swap I am hosting over on SCS on the Unity Stamp Co. section.
Tis the season… September 18, 2008
I never know what I am going to post when I sit down with my laptop. Occassionally I have a specific photo or project I want to share or some random tid bit. Like, September is National Grilled Cheese Month. I read that somewhere yesterday. I am full of absolutely useless random facts. So, I thought I would post some random cards to go with my ramdom-ness.
I think we have a little Christmas and maybe a little Valentine’s
I think I might even throw in a non stamped project— GASP!!!!! This plate was done on my Pazzles Creative Cutter. I have not put it on my car yet. I am thinking about making them for family as Christmas presents. That and Maybe Monograms for their rear windows? Let me know your thoughts. I Will send out RAK, yes, RAK, RAK,RAK RAK. I said it. RAK. I have the RAK from last week ready to go to the post office so why not add one more to the bunch? I will make a big trip trip to the PO on Sat.
I am very impressed if you made it all the bottom of my ramblings. PLEASE go visit Amber all the way in Japan on her blog for some beautiful work http://www.stampingscrapbooker.typepad.com/
