upcycle, recycle, repurpose ?

key-holder  They are all basically the same things.

 Repurpose- give new life.

Recycle – get another use out of

Upcycle- newest cycber term for giving something a new life.

Call it what ever you want.  But I am glad it is finally fashionable.  I have been doing this forever.  I have always found it to be a fun challenge.  A test to my creative ablity.

This was a pink teddybear ballarina frame with a broken mirror in the top.  I thought since we move oceanside it might be nice to have a tiny bit of the decor.  THis is going in the mudroom.

I was going for the Beach Chic or Beach Casual look.  The push pins are sand dollars.

Her simple upbringing spurred her "Can do" attitude and gave her the confidence to try any challenge placed before her. She knew there was more out there than just her small town and set off after high school to explore the world. It was through these travels that she discovered her love of art and her desire to make the world a prettier place. It was not until she suffered a paralyzing illness that she realized she wanted to reconsider her corporate career as a Chief Paper Pusher, and her thoughts immediately turned to her first passion, art. I just found your site and I love it! This idea is awesome. I just saw something like this in a new store today. I’m heading over there tomorrow to copy you!

Upcycle, reuse, refashion, repurpose…it’s all what was the norm for the people that lived during the Depression. They just didn’t get rid of anything that could be used somewhere else. I once saw the coolest wooden planter pot for small houseplants…it was made out of a tin with wooden clothespegs glued along the rim, painted with leftover high gloss paint. It was adorable! I really like your reuse of the mirrored frame. Neato 🙂
