Family Traditions Box

When I found this Samantha Walker Christmas paper I knew instantly what I wanted to create with it.  Growing up my grandmother gave out Christmas baskets filled to the brim with delicious baked treats and delightful candies.  Each family had their own basket and returned it after the goods were devoured.   I wanted to start this same tradition but with a twist.  My other grandmother always had us take a photo in front of the tree.  She kept the photos in a special box that was decorated with Christmas wrapping paper.  So here is where the twist comes in.  I purchased a bunch of  empty cigar boxes a while back with the intent on using them for something cool. I knew they could be easily upcycled.

I decided I would make a gift box for my little sister that would start out with a delicious bunch of goodies, their recipes and a photo.  The box is to keep and place all of her future photos in.  Or she could use it as a giant recipe box.  Plus it will look really cool when it is sitting out since it is so decorative.  I hope she really likes it and will make this a tradition of her own.
