The Bead Soup is a blog that organizes a bead swap. I rarely participate in swaps. One of the main reasons I do not is because I usually feel like I put more in than I get out. Well, not this time. My swap partner, Michele Hardy blew me out of the water.
In the swap we are supposed to send a clasp, accent beads and a focal bead. My focal bead is to die for. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeealllllllllllllllly love it and find it very inspiring. After mine arrived, I started to doubt what I sent. Part of the mission of bead soup is to get you out of your box. After viewing Michele’s blog I noticed she worked in dark metals and earth tones. So I made clay pieces using a Mokume Gane technique in bright pink, orange and yellow and added silver findings. I might be waaaaay outside of the box. I hope not. I really look forward to seeing her creation.
